Founder

Hi! I’m Katy, the owner of Coastal Coordinating. I’ve proudly owned Coastal Coordinating for 18 years and have more than 22 years of experience in the wedding and event industry.

Anyone who knows me will tell you how much I genuinely love what I do. Wedding and event planning isn’t just my career, it truly is my calling and my passion. There’s something so special about bringing all the little details together, taking care of my couples and their families, and watching a day we’ve spent months planning finally come to life.

A few fun facts about me:

My favorite part of a wedding day is bustling the dress! I know it might sound funny, but I absolutely love it.

My husband and I had our wedding reception dinner at Waffle House! Thanks to COVID, it definitely wasn’t what we originally planned, but honestly, it ended up being the best. I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

I am completely obsessed with pool floats. You should see my patio! If I could take every call from the pool while floating around on one of them, I’m pretty sure life would be complete.

I’m a dog mom to Hank and Lucy, my two pups who I absolutely adore.

I’m also a bonus mom to the best girl ever, Marlee.

I love taking chances, trying new things, and sometimes just going out on a whim. Life is short, and I plan on making the very best of it. I’m definitely a glass-half-full kind of person and always try to find something to smile about.

After all these years, I still get excited about every wedding and event I have the opportunity to be a part of. I can’t wait to hear your story, get to know you, and start planning something amazing together!  

Carly R.

Wedding & Events Planner

Hi there, I’m Carly! I have Midwestern roots, but after more than a decade in Tampa, I consider myself a Floridian at heart.

I’ve been drawn to weddings and events from a young age. Life gives us so many meaningful moments to celebrate, and I’ve always loved the idea of helping people make those moments feel truly special. Over the years, I’ve gained experience across several areas of the wedding industry, including photography, bridal couture, wedding coordination, and content creation through Wedding Tapes. These experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective and an even greater appreciation for everything that goes into creating an unforgettable celebration.

I love every part of the planning process—from learning what matters most to each couple to watching all the thoughtful details come together on the wedding day. I’m a romantic at heart, so some of my favorite moments are often the quiet, emotional ones shared between couples and the people they love most.

Outside of weddings, I’m a mom to an energetic and sweet young daughter. I also practice calisthenics and love a good adventure, whether that means enjoying outdoor activities, taking a road trip, or traveling somewhere new. When I’m not planning celebrations, I enjoy expressing myself through other creative ventures and finding new sources of inspiration.

Wedding planning truly is my dream job. There is nothing more rewarding than helping our couples feel supported, cared for, and fully present as they celebrate an amazing day and begin the next chapter of their lives together. I can’t wait to start planning with you!


Melanie B.

Hi everyone! My name is Melanie and I first began my journey into the wedding world in fall of 2022. I was working an office job, and craving something new and exciting! I wanted each day to be different, to work with people that were passionate and creative, to be on my feet more, and I got exactly that. My career started on the catering side of the wedding industry, but my heart lies with coordinating and planning!              

My favorite part of wedding planning is seeing everything come together on wedding day. It’s always fun to see a different group of vendors team up with their unique talents to make each wedding different than the last. Even better is seeing the bride and groom bursting with joy when all the planning is done and they can finally enjoy their happiest day with each other!   

I finally tied the knot with my high school sweetheart in March of 2024! We live by the beach with our pup Besito (which means “little kiss” in Spanish, and certainly fits him). We love all things ocean, camping, and music, usually enjoyed with our huge tribe of friends and family. It was my husband’s idea for me to work in the wedding world, knowing my passion for details, organization, and love stories!

Hi hi, I’m Ella! I’m a lover of love, a sucker for the little details, and happiest when I’m bringing a vision to life.

I discovered my passion for event planning during my senior year of college, when an event planning course sparked my interest and opened the door to the industry. Around the same time, I loved coordinating large-scale events through my sorority, which only grew my love for bringing people together and creating memorable experiences.

When I had the opportunity to lead my first wedding with Coastal Coordinating, I fell in love with love and the wedding industry all over again. Watching months of planning come to life, seeing a couple surrounded by all of their favorite people, and knowing I played a part in creating a day they’ll remember forever reminded me exactly why I chose this industry. I love getting to know each couple, bringing their vision to life, and being someone they can trust to handle all the little details so they can truly be present for the big ones.

Outside of weddings, you can usually find me trying a new workout class around St. Pete, spending time out on the Gulf, or hanging out with my two golden retrievers.

Hey, I’m Ashley! I’m originally from Folsom, California, but I’ve lived in quite a few places over the years: Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Greece, and now Florida. All that moving and traveling has given me a love for new places, new people, and new experiences.

I’ve played soccer my entire life and have even had the opportunity to play professionally in Greece. Before getting into weddings and events, I spent several years working in restaurants and bartending, but I was ready for a change and to learn something completely new!

I’m a hopeful romantic girly, and I love love! I enjoy bringing a couple’s vision to life and connecting with people on a genuine, personal level. There’s something special about being part of such an important moment in someone’s life and helping make it feel uniquely theirs.

Outside of work, I love going out to eat with my friends and family, reading, spending time in nature, traveling, and of course, playing soccer. I’m a maximalist at heart and love bright, vibrant colors. I’m so excited to be part of the wedding and events world and can’t wait to be part of your special day!"
